To Infinity and beyond!

Traveling... Saying this without trying to brag, but I've traveled a lot. I've been in the Middle East and also in more Western countries like England for example.
Funny thing happened to me when I was in Egypt. I was maybe around 11-years old and traveling with my dad. We stayed there for two weeks and every night we went to this little local restaurant. The food was great and the staff there was really, really nice! So, anyhow, one night after we had yet another lovely diner, we walked around, and in this little alley, there was a small weird ''general store'' of a kind. Selling all kind of statues, and miscellaneous stuff. So, we walked in, and the store owner attacked us, bombing  with different kind of offers. After we made clear that we weren’t interested in anything he had to offer us, he said that I was a very pretty boy and he’d like to trade me for a camel and marry me to his daughter! And remember, I was maybe 11-12 years old. He pulled out a little picture of his daughter, a pretty girl, (minus the mustache). So obviously, - cause I’m here and writing this blog – my dad didn’t trade me for a camel. Maybe next time. It might have been cool tough…
<-- How can you say no to that face?

The importance of internationality

Internationality. Being international is important. You can always learn something new about different cultures, countries and people. And is there any other better way to learn those things but to meet new people? The answer is no. I think that my school is very international and global because we have a lot of exchange students from all around the world. Like from Spain, Germany, Czech and Singapore.
The Singaporeans were here just for one week, but in that week I learned so many interesting things about Singapore and Singaporeans. And it was fun because I didn’t have any expectations or prejudice. I wanted to know as generic things as possible, like ‘’what do movie tickets cost?’’ or ‘’are things cheaper in Singapore than in Finland?’’ Of course after we loosened up a little bit, we started talking more about politics, jobs, hopes and money.
Everybody likes to travel. Well maybe not everybody but I’d like to think that most people do. I’ve traveled a lot. I’ve been all over the world mostly in the southern part of the globe. By traveling I’ve met many interesting people and seen so many different cultures and habits. I think that traveling and learning about different cultures is important especially for young people, because we are more vulnerable and maybe more open to outside influences. So good people, travel, live and do.
And by the way, if you ever go to Singapore, Movie tickets cost around 3$ and yes, things are lot more cheaper in Singapore than in Finland.

My special place.

I had trouble with this topic because I don't really have a special place.
Of course home is allway home sweet home, but I can pretty much adjust anywhere.
When we think of a special place, we often think about a building or a town, or something material, but for me, ''home'' is where ever I am, with my toothbrush and my passport.

Maybe traveling or interrailing could be my bag of potatoes. Hmm.. talking about potatoes makes me hungry. Maybe I should get something to eat.

My English learning history.

My name is Antton and i'm 16 years old. I've allways loved English. In kindergarten we learned curse words and lines from cartoons like Tom and Jerry and TV shows like Bonanza. In school we started learning English in the third grade. It was easy to learn becouse in the book was funny charcters and the plot wasn't too bad either.
I traveld to the UK when i was 13 years old. I was staying in London for two weeks. I really loved being there, I didin't do much sightseeing, but I saw the London eye and Big Ben. In London I spoke with the local people.
England is a beautiful country, I'd like to see the country side of England, like lot's and lot's of green hill's and little cottages plus sheep, of course.
English is, (at least I think so) the most usefull of all the languages, becouse you can speak it anywhere. It's like music, where ever you go people will understad what you have to say.
Like any other language English opens doors and gives you opportunities, and that's why I wan't to keep developing, and so should you.
